Experience a two hour, moderate nature trail hike that takes you up to Mountravers Estate. Mountravers Estate was once a sugar plantation in the 18th century and was converted to a boutique hotel in the 19th century. It was owned in 1708 by Azariah Pinney (after whom Pinney’s beach is named) and by the successive generations of the Pinney family until it was sold in 1815. The estate is now a ruin waiting to be explored. Look out for wild green monkeys and listen for tree frogs and bamboo palms blowing in the wind as you hike with your knowledgeable tour guide to the restored ruins of the Plantation Gate House and Curing House. The estate also offers stunning views of Nevis' west coast and neighboring islands, perfect for a family photo.
After spending time exploring the estate, you will journey down to Pinney’s Beach where a delicious Caribbean style lunch is served at Lime Beach Bar and a lounge chair awaits. Spend time swimming or relaxing before driving back to port.
